Morphis MovieRide Theatre, Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, USA
Since its acquisition of the assets of AI Camber Entertainment, Metropolis Group has emerged as the world’s largest designer and supplier of simulation attractions for the entertainment, education and corporate markets worldwide. The Group’s capabilities include design engineering, product development, manufacture and test, attraction design, long-term product support and through its recent association with Red Star Studios, the production of high quality ridefilm and experimental content in both 2D and 3D.
Central to the company’s rapid growth and success has been the background and experience of its senior management and technical teams, all of whom have their origins in the mainstream flight simulation business. And, in that context, Metropolis can genuinely claim to have been at the forefront of the technical development of the world’s first major simulation attraction – Star Tours at Disney.
But the company’s greatest endorsement is its client list. Metropolis’s simulators have been installed at some of the most prestigious sites in the world including London Science Museum, Singapore Science Centre; the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum; NASA Astronaut Hall of Fame; Munich Airport; US National Air Force Museum and Space Centre, Houston. The company’s equipment has also helped to promote major corporations and brands around the world including Sony Playstation, Coca-Cola, BMW, Land Rover, Ford Motor Company, Team Virgin Yamaha, Shell Oil and Unilever.
Headquartered in Kingston-upon-Thames, Metropolis has facilities in South Wales, Dubai and New York, as well as a network of international agents and representatives to provide local sales and product support on a truly global scale.
